Recertification referee Clinic opportunities in WNY

It is a requirement by USSF that every referee continue to get clinical time. It is not their intention to certify someone to referee and then never try to improve on that training or build upon it. After the first year of refereeing, everyone is obligated to get 5 hours of clinical time annually.

When you come to a clinic you will want to bring:

Pen, Pencil (yes, you will probably want both), your checkbook and a copy of your completed Match Experience Form (keep a copy for your own records). Also, if you are 18 years of age or older and you have a NYSWYSA Coach's pass you will want to bring that with you as well. If you do not have a NYSWYSA Risk Management Pass, you will be provided with an application to get one.

At the clinic there will be a presentation/discussion followed by the recertification testing. You will also be able to complete your 2008 registration form there. Click here for more information on the recertification procedure.

The desire is to have everyone be green, the minimum is that people have no red before they hit the fields. A referee is not required to attend a recertification clinic in their home district. They may take it anywhere within Western New York...or outside WNY as long as they can provide proof of attendance. If there is not currently a clinic listed which you can attend, please keep checking back as more will be added. Do not wait until the last one as something may change in your schedule and then there will be issues to have to be resolved.
